If there’s one animal that believes in reincarnation, it’s the caterpillar. Wouldn’t we all like to wrap ourselves in a cocoon of blankets and reappear more beautiful than before?
The butterfly, one of nature’s most exquisite insects, is always there when we’re having a bad day at school or a difficult week at work. Maybe you see one on your drive home or perhaps you get a glimpse of one as you’re walking to your car. Regardless, when you see those bright and colorful wings appear, you’re certain to stop in your tracks, maybe for just a moment, to enjoy the view.
A Living Butterfly Habitat
At the Cockrell Butterfly Center in the Houston Museum of Natural Science, you can take a closer look at the life of a butterfly by exploring the living butterfly habitat. Here, you can enjoy getting up close with nature in a variety of different ways.
For instance, the Rainforest Conservatory provides a gorgeous waterfall surrounded by a three-story glass structure. Filled with exotic plants and unique butterflies, the waterfall is a perfect place to capture pictures and see the wonders of nature.
